IN MEMORY

Elvis behind fenceMaggie listening

For a few weeks, I am making this page a memorial page for Elvis and Maggie May.

Thursday, the 18th day of September Elvis and Maggie died.  They were both our best hunters.  They died by rattlesnake.  They fought a good dachshund fight but lost in the end.  I didn't have enough time to rush them to the vet.  Maggie made it to the back porch.  Elvis died right where he was fighting the rattlesnake.  I hope and pray all dogs go to heaven.  God bless their little dachshund hearts.  They are buried in a pretty spot on the farm.  They were the best and were loved by all.  We are missing them so much.

Life goes on.  Maybe a little sadder right now, but it does go on.  We have many good memories of those two and we keep their memory alive with tales of their adventures.

My husband is reworking their whole backyard.  It's now as snake proof as a place can be and then some.

Miss Priscilla is full of Elvis' pups.  They will be the last Elvis puppies and they will be arriving sometimes around the 20th of October.  They will be precious and very special pups.

We will be on the look out for a little male dachshund for Dixie and Priscilla.  He won't be Elvis but he will be just as loved.
